All Roads Lead to the Capital

New Zealand is known globally for only a few things.  Sheep, The All Blacks and one of the most iconic exports ... The Haka, Ka Mate.  You can experience two of these things right here in Wellington.

Have you ever wanted to know how Ka Mate was created?  Now is the perfect time to visit the exhibition 'Whiti Te Ra! The story of Ngati Toa Rangatira'.  Navigate your way around Te Papa Museum, located at 55 Cable Street in Wellington, and unveil the journey that this exhibition takes you on, to reveal the real meaning behind the haka.

Enjoy the views

After you've had your fix of culture, jump in your car rental and drive to Mount Victoria Lookout to enjoy the panoramic views of the City, Harbour and beyond.  Watch the ferries sail in from the Cook Strait or the planes flying into Wellington Airport.  Why not take a picnic and wait for the magical sunset?  You can literally 'see it all' from Mount Victoria Lookout.

Some cuddle time

We promised you two of the three most popular exports right here in Wellington and here is the second.

Get even more out of your car rental with a short drive to Lindale Farm on the Kapiti Coast.  Just 54 kilometres from Wellington City, Lindale Farm, SH 1, Paraparaumu, lets the animal lover in you get up close and personal with the sheep and all other things cuddly.

At just $30 for a family of 5, you can feed the animals, pet them or watch one of the shows.  Stroll the farm grounds at your leisure and enjoy the BBQ and picnic facilities.
It doesn't matter what you know it as -- the bottom of the North Island, the Gateway to the Cook Strait, or the Capital.  Whatever you like to call it, Wellington is buzzing with plenty of Cheap as Chips activities.
