There are the most spectacular falls in the Bay of Plenty, a 35-minute drive from Kawerau. The falls drop 65 metres down a sheer cliff face, then cascade down bush-lined rapids. They are easily accessible for visitors to view, just a twenty minute walk from the Waterfall Road carpark.
